Quality Chemicals Limited, a local drug manufacturing company, has asked the Eritrean president to initiate trade relations between the 2 countries to allow exportation of their products to the Eritrea.

President Isaias Afewerki, who is on a 3 day state visit, toured the plant and Sameer Agricultural Company, a milk processing firm in Bugolobi today.

The managing director Emmanuel Katongole said there is need for the 2 countries to become trade partners.

Katongole further said the partnership would deliberate the countries from donor dependence on donor aid.

Quality chemicals produce close to 600 million tablets of ARVs and anti malarial drugs in a day.
