The Deputy Lord Mayor of Kampala Capital City Authority, Sulaiman Kidandala has been sworn in today despite complaints from the minister for Kampala Kabakumba Masiko.
The KCCA Executive Director Jennifer Musisi and other council technical officers failed to block his swearing in ceremony.
Kidandala was sworn in amidst heavy police deployment and harassing of his supporters by the government security agencies.
The Kampala DPC, Norman Musinga commandeered the police officers who blocked most of Kidandala’s supporters from accessing city hall.
Kidandala was appointed the Kampala Capital City Authority Deputy Lord Mayor by the Lord Mayor of Kampala, Alhaji Erias Kidandala in October this year.
