The President of Uganda, Gen. Yoweri Museveni has said Ugandans working in the department of lands and land registry have Masters Degrees in stealing and PHDs in corruption.
Gen. Museveni describes the corrupt officials in Lands and Land Registry as a disgrace to the human race in Uganda. The President was speaking at Hotel Africana in Kampala.
Museveni says the officials in the national lands department give people false land titles.
”In the Department of Land Registry, clients must bribe the workers in order to get served,” he says.
Museveni promises to eliminate the corrupt characters in the lands registry.
“Bribery, bribery, bribery, very soon Ugandans will hear causalities,” the president adds.
Museveni told land experts in Kampala that he didn’t know that educated people can be crooks.
The President also describes the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) as ‘useless.’
He further describes the National Forestry Authority (NFA) as ‘the National Deforestation Authority.’
Museveni says most of the people in NEMA and NFA are ineffective in the implementation of their work and are there to Kulembeka (eat) for themselves.
