Kenya Wildlife Authorities has found the two Ugandan Russian-made attack helicopters which went missing on Sunday. The two airplanes were found onMt.Kenya. The soldiers who were on board perished and their bodies burnt to ashes.
Our Reporter in Kenya Walakira Nyanzi reports that one of the two Mi-24 Ugandan attack helicopters burnt beyond recognition. For theUgandagovernment to identify some of the dead crew members it would need to first carry out the DNA tests since the bodies were over burnt.
One of the Mi-24 which was under the command of Col. Chris Kasaija crashed in Castle Forest of Kimunye Forest Service station on Mt.Kenya. But lucky enough, the crew members on this airplane were found still breathing and were taken to hospital under critical condition. The doctors at Nanyuki base tell us that their condition has started improving.
The Ugandan authorities say that all the military helicopters leftSorotiFlyingSchoolinEastern Ugandaon Sunday but they got some problems on the way and they crashed. The crashedUgandaplanes were discovered high inMt.Kenyaat 11,000ft. The crashed airplanes were heading forMogadishu.
