We may now know why president Museven is refusing to increase the national budget of the health ministry and gunning for more funds in state house and the defence ministry.
President Museveni’s government after buying fighter junk jets from a Russian arms export company, three planes of which crushed on their way to Somalia, is planning to buy six more fighter jets from Russia.
Information we are getting from Moscow is that president Museveni and his bush war comrades in NRM government are in talks with Rosoboron export about the option of buying additional Sukhoi Su-30 jets. The company’s deputy director, Alexander Mikheyev is aware of the talks.
Perhaps this could be the reason why Museveni is refusing to increase money to buy drugs and medication for poor Ugandans in order to take forward the government project of buying fighter jets.
