You may not have known but the defection of Major Rubaramira Ruranga to NRM has left opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) very divided. The supporters of the FDC president, Maj. Gen. Mugisha Muntu are full of smiles because Ruranga, whom they have been seeing as an enemy of Muntu, is no longer a member of FDC.

But the supporters of the Leader of Opposition in Uganda Parliament, Nandala Mafabi sobs, because Ruranga and Mafabi have been inseparable. They say that they supported Mafabi during FDC party president polls last year.

But they were uncomfortable with the choice of Nandala’s campaign manager, Major RUBARAMIRA RURANGA and his (Ruranga) attacks on Major General Mugisha Muntu of being an NRM mole.

Before sunset, it is Rubaramira Ruranga who abandoned ship and joined president Museveni. Where does this leave Nandala Mafabi? Many FDC leaders and supporters have called upon Mafabi to address the nation on the defection of Rubaramira, how it happened and lastly did him (Mafabi) see it coming.
