Causes of bad breath: tobacco smoking, cancer

 

The breakdown of food particles in and around your teeth can cause bad breath e.g onions, garlic, some vegetables, spices and foods that contain certain oil.

Using poor dental hygiene, illness such as certain cancers and metabolic disorders, diabetes, thrush candidiasis, kidney or liver failure may cause bad breath according to new research reports in UK universities.

Similarly gastro-oesophageal reflux disease has been associated with bad breath. Also some medications can indirectly produce bad breath by contributing to dry mouth (xerostomia), tobacco smoking…
