The Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, speaking through Buganda kingdom Katikkiro, .Charles Peter Mayiga has called upon the KCCA councilors led by Bernard Luyiga from Makerere University opposed to the City Lord Mayor Hajj Erias Lukwago to reconcile with him.

Mayiga says the Kabaka needs the councilors and Lukwago to work together in peace for the good of the people of Buganda and Kampala.

The Katikkiro even cautioned the councilors that what if they impeach Lukwago and then the people of Kampala who voted him also resoundingly vote him again back to office. What will the councilors do?

The Katikkiro spoke to the KCCA councilors when they were meeting him at Bulange Mengo to handover the 100 bags of cement as their contribution towards the reconstruction of the royal tombs at Kasubi.

There is an allegation that some KCCA councilors were bribed by the state to fight the Lord Mayor and they tell the public that it is the lord mayor with the problem.
