Treatment for congested bladder

Making some lifestyle changes can often help you to control the symptoms of an enlarged prostate and prevents the condition from worsening. Whoever is suffering from this condition should try the following measures:
Limit beverages in the evening. Don’t drink anything for an hour or two before bedtime to help you avoid wake-up trips to the bathroom at night to urinate, don’t drink too much caffeine and alcohol and this may increase urine production, irritate your bladder and worsen your symptoms.
If you take diuretics (water pills), talk to your doctor being administered to another treatment. Take lower doses only in the morning or change in the time you take your medication will help you to ease your urinary symptoms.

Don’t stop taking diuretics without first talking to your doctor. Limit decongestants (antihistamines) as these drugs tighten the band of muscles on your urethra that control urine flow, making it harder to urinate.

Try to urinate when you feel the urge as waiting too long may over stretch your bladder muscle. Schedule bathroom visits. Urinate at regular times. It can be done after every 4 to 6 hours during the day. Be active because inactivity causes you to retain urine. Exercises help you to reduce urinary problems caused by an enlarged prostate.
