Uganda and Rwanda are slated to re-demarcate their national boundaries following the signing of an agreement with the German govt which has seen the Ugandan govt receive donation of fast class equipment mounting to UGX.90bn that will be used in the demarcation process that will soon be kicked off.
Speaking at the signing and handover event in Kampala today, the German ambassador to Uganda, HE. Klaus Dieter Duxmann states that many conflicts arise as a result of border conflicts sighting that 35% of Ugandan borders are not well defined.
But the land minister, Hon. Daudi Migereko expresses great need for the demarcation of these border to solve the ever growing problem adding that after the demarcation of Rwanda border they will be demarcating the South sudan and DRC borders.ug.
Among the equipment donated to the country include, 3 brand new four wheel drive vehicles, 1 large scale flatbed saner, 2 high accuracy differential GPS receivers and a high resolution satellite image.
