It seems the Republic of Uganda is under sttate of Emergency. After Erias Lukwago’s lawyer Abdullah Kiwanuka was beaten, tortured and his suit torn into pieces on Monday by president Museveni’s Police, Top Radio’s programe presenter, Richard Kasule a.k.a Kamagu was on Tuesday brutally arrested by Uganda Police.

While hosting Kampala Deputy Lord Mayor, Sulaiman Kidandala on Tuesday morning on Top Radio Simbula Political Talk Show, Kamagu was arrested. The police sources told us that Kamagu is accused by police for reporting dictatorship and police violation of human rights.

Kamagu’s popular programe ran for only 15 minutes before the Police stormed Top Radio Studio and brutally arrested Kamagu. Journalists in Uganda were warned by Uganda Police not to discuss Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago’s unlawful impeachment by State House and the police. Top Radio is on 89.6.

The Ugandan state has adopted the approach after Monday’s foiled kangaroo court which was ostensibly to hamstrung the Kampala city Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago.
