Ugandans to report corruption cases on internet

Ugandans have requested president Museveni’s government to allow them to start reporting cases of corruption via SMS and web based platforms. The republic of Rwanda is currently the only African country where cases of corruption can be reported on internet and the government acts immediately. Rwandan government ‘was made in Uganda’ but its mother government Uganda is one of the most corrupt government in Africa whereas Rwanda is not.

Norbert Mao, president General of Democratic Party (Uganda’s oldest political party having been formed in 1954) says Ugandans want a system where citizens will report corruption and injustices anonymously.

About 80% of corruption victims in Uganda do not report due to fear that the police and the judiciary where they would have reported the same cases are among the most corrupt institutions in Uganda.
