Museveni gives opposition MPs computers

 

Opposition Members of Parliament from Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), Conservative Party (CP), Justice Forum, Uganda Peoples Congress and Democratic Party (DP) are among the 375 law makers president Museveni’s government has given ipads.

The legislators got the computers on Thursday. Parliamentary Speaker Rebecca Kadaga says these ipads will save parliament colossal sums of money has it has been spending on stationery.

The purchase of these ipads was sanctioned by the parliamentary commission. The government has spent over  one billion Uganda shillings on purchase of ipads for MPs  earning hefty salaries.
