Parliament pays trubute to the former speaker of Buganda.

Parliament has paid tribute to late Dr Higiro Ssemajjego in a motion that was moved by the prime minister Amama Mbabazi and seconded by the Masaka municipality mp Mathias Mpuga on behalf of the opposition , kibanda county mp Samuel Otada on behalf of independents and Rwemiga county mp Theodore sekikubo.

The mps praised the late for being a nationalist who stood for the common good of the people. MPS Medard Ssegona and Deogratious kiyingi says the late was a unifying factor who never believed in divide and rule.

The late died at the age of 79 years; he was the deputy speaker of Buganda Lukiiko nd former CA delegate from Rwemiyaga County.

Masaka municipality mp Mathias Mpuga says in order to recognize the contribution by the late Ssemajjego, Government should promote indigenous entrepreneurship for the economic growth which is private sector driven .
