It has been discovered that male circumcision is so dangerous if handled poorly. In Uganda, there is a man who got his penis permanently damaged after undergoing circumcision. This man, indentified as Patrick Izimba, claims that one day he went to Dr Francis Kakooza and Dr Edward Kunonya of Medik Medical Centre in Kawempe, KampalaUganda to get a circumcision service and ended up losing his penis.

Izimba says that during the operation, the doctors mentioned injected him a drug directly to his penis which made it stiff for ta week with continuous loss of blood. As a result, his penis turned dry and dark despite repeated visits to the medical centre for treatment.

The doctors at Mulago hospital where Izimba sought further treatment told us that his penis sustained severe damage hence being disabled permanently and he can no longer play sex with any woman. Izimba was further transferred to Comprehensive Rehabilitation Service Uganda where he undergone further treatment.
