Ugandan ambassadors to foreign missions have been urged to vigorously market the country in a bid to attract more foreigners into the country as well as creating a positive image for the country in the diaspora.
Speaking at the opening of the annual ambassadors’ conference in Kampala today the Prime Minister, Amama Mbabazi mentions that there are many Ugandans and non Ugandans out there who have continued to spread negative propaganda against Uganda and its leadership who in the long run tarnishes the image of Uganda and hence calls for immediate image clearing by the ambassadors.
However, the foreign affairs minister, Sam Kutesa says the meeting is geared at discussing uganda’s development, economic and diplomatic matters as it moves towards achieving her goals in 2040.
