Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi has for the first time accepted that the National Resistance Movement (NRM) government he serves as failed to deliver much in the education sector.
He says that the quality of education in Uganda has not been equal, with schools in Eastern Uganda where the president of Uganda hails from and a few of those in the central region where Uganda’s capital city, Kampala is located are performing better than those in the rest of Uganda.
Mbabazi has attributed the better performance to good quality teachers and good facilities in Western and central region schools.
