Uganda marks International cultural week

 

The government of Uganda has joined the rest of the world to mark the International cultural week. The cultural week is marked from March 13th to march 21st every year.

The State Minister of Uganda government for the elderly and the disabled, Suleiman Madada, says Uganda is set to put emphasis on the Anti-Pornography Act in order to make sure Ugandan women dress decently. .

Madada also says that Uganda is ready to eliminate all negative cultural values and harmful practices that undermine women like the Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). The cultural week will be marked under the theme “Culture: a Tool for Job Creation: Bridging the Gaps.”
