President Museveni’s son, who also doubles as Uganda’s Commander Land Forces, Maj. Gen. David Muhoozi has asked UPDF soldiers fighting to save the shaky government of Salva Kiir in South Sudan to utilise this chance to be heard across the world.
Muhoozi on Wednesday addressed Ugandan troops at the Juba air force base in South Sudan and said that they need to defeat South Sudan rebels if they are to get paid by President Salva Kiir. UPDF went to South Sudan on invitation of president Kiir whose dictatorial government was about to be over thrown by rebel liberators.
Muhoozi jetted into South Sudan on Tuesday. On Wednesday he inspected Uganda troops in South Sudan. Muhoozi also ordered Uganda soldiers to chant Uganda’s ruling party songs before he addressed them. Muhoozi also ordered the media not to report the mistakes UPDF commits in South Sudan if they are there.
