Buganda Road Chief Magistrate Ms Olive Kazaarwe Mukwaya has sentenced Ms Rose Namubiru after the court found her guilty of spreading the infectious HIV/AIDS.

Namubiru, a nurse at Victoria Medical Center, Lumumba avenue in Kampala injected a 2-year-old baby with HIV- tainted cannula.

Court ruled that Namubiru was aware that she was living with HIV/AIDS and then carelessly went a head to inject the child. The court passed its judgment on Monday basing on the testimonies of prosecution witnesses. The witnesses pinned Namubiru that she was aware of her HIV status.
