How sports leaders in Uganda don’t care about sports

Many people have been listening to discussions on how sports leaders in Uganda dont care all about sports. Most of the leaders of sports in Uganda are all there to benefit financially and for show of business!

For example they welcomed Stephen Kiprotich when actually most of them didnt see him win the world marathon. They didnt know that actually Kiprotich got training using Kenyan facilities.

This reminded me of the Minister in Charge of Political Mobilisation, mr. Todwong while talking about the win of Kiprotich he ”I felt like collapsing on seeing our hero in the last lap.” Honestly there are laps in Marathon?

Now remember the good days of Uganda Soccer. That was during the time cerebrated fallen Ugandan president, Field martial, VC, the conqueror of the British Empire, Iddi Amin Daada.

The Late Patrick Kawooya made us love Sports Club Villa, how he would bring recording of the Premier League for Ugandans to watch on TV.

But you can’t see the development of sport where all institutions are being pulled down by NRM government. It is now Uganda government selling public sports facilities in Lugogo, and those of schools like Kololo, City High School and many others. Nakivubo is slowly going. So when the Lawrence Mulindwas came in, they were just copying and pasting the methods of work of the NRM.
