An international conference on nutrition would be hosted by the UN food agency and the World Health Organisation in Rome in November 2014.

The Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) Chief Jose Graziano da Silva says this Second International Conference on Nutrition (ICN2) follows the first one that was held in 1992.

The conference is aimed at bringing together world leaders and find new ways to boost national and global efforts that improve diets and health.

Pope Francis, the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Chilean President Michelle Bachelet and Tanzanian President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete are also expected to attend the conference.
