It is only six days remaining Uganda to commemorate martyrs day. Uganda marks the day annually every June 3rd.
Christians on June 3rd every year remember the day Kabaka Mwanga put to death Anglican and Catholic converts (in current Uganda called Martyrs) in 1886.
The preparations at the Martyrs’ Basilica in Namugongo to mark this year’s martyr’s day both at catholic and protestant shirines are in high gear.
Pavements have been painted, tents erected and the grass trimmed neat.
The government has improved on the lighting, and the sound.
