Parliament director in trouble over corruption

Uganda Parliament has received with concern reports that Samuel Wanyaka, the Director for Budget Office at Parliament is corrupt.

The Anti-Corruption Court has issued a warrant of arrest for Wanyaka.

Samuel Wanyaka has been on leave from Parliament since January this year, following a directive by the Inspectorate of Government over reports of office abuse.

But Parliament has not officially received communication from the Office of the Inspectorate of Government or the Anti-Corruption Court over the charges facing Wanyaka.

Parliament is planning to give more details about Wanyaka’s case when it receives a communication from court.
