Youth leaders have given the ministry
of finance two weeks to
release the whole amount of 53 billion shillings meant for
the youth
livelihood program in this fiscal budget 2014- 2015 or else
they will
mobilize the youth to demonstrate.
Addressing journalists at parliament the chairman National
youth
council Samuel Kavuma said that the ministry of finance has
deliberately cut the money from 53 billion shillings to
about 35
billion yet the president had already assured them that the
money was
available.
Kavuma says the implementation of this program will be
affected if the
money is cut half way.
However kavuma confirms that already 10,000 youth from 27
districts of
the country have benefited from the 19 billion shillings
that was
released earlier to the program remaining with 83
districts.
