The Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga is doing a big role in promoting tourism in Uganda.

The Speaker of parliament has undertaken developmental projects that have contributed tremendously to the promotion of tourism in Uganda. Kadaga has been able to tap into the vital tourism resource by investing in hotel accommodation. The speaker has used the money she earns in parliament to involve in income generating activities to boost her livelihood amidst the challenges imposed by commercial banks. Kadaga is behind the Busoga Education Improvement Programme.

However Kadaga is decrying the mistreatment by financial institutions which charge exorbitant interest rates that kill investment made by Ugandans.
