The Innovative Doctoral Education for Global Food Security is a joint project between the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and Makerere University Kampala.

The joint project is aimed at development and performance of courses for doctoral students and workshops for senior staff.

From 2nd to 20th June 2014, Teachers from Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and Makerere University jointly developed and performed courses and workshops for up to 40 participants from Makerere, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and three African satellite universities.

A closing ceremony will be held at Makerere University Kampala to mark the close of the joint workshop.
