Gen. Karuhanga’s worms up for big chair

 

The commander of Reserve Forces, Maj. Gen. Levi Karuhanga who is also the first Commander of AMISON in Somalia has been appointed the new chairman for the General court martial that sits at Makindye.

Karuhanga was appointed by President Museveni following the expiration of Brig Moses Ddiba Ssentongo’s one year tenure. The Major General commanded the AMISON from February 14, 2007 when he was appointed to March 3, 2008 when he was recalled and succeeded by Maj. General Francis Okello.

Gen Karuhanga has a long serving history in the UPDF, among which include commander of forces in Liberia in 1994 alongside Lieutenant General.

In 1998, he was appointed Deputy Commander 3rd Division before being made the First Division Commander in 2001.
