The EAC member states are under the process of kicking off the process to draw a road map for collecting various views that will be incorporated in the region’s constitution.
The constitution that will be used by the member states to promote law and order will not differ from the ones that the member states hold.
The assistant commissioner for production, social services, in the ministry, Edward Sebina mentions that the process that is starting November this year will take some time to come to a conclusion as they will need to hold wider consultation on the matter to come up with a better constitution.
Currently the member states are operating with no specific constitution governing them and many hope that with the coming into play of this instrument will help move the region to the next level.
