The Executive director of the National Theatre Francis Peter Ajeke agreed with mps that the theatre building is in poor condition and asked mps to support the funding of the theatre so as it renovated to the standard of the modern buildings in kampala.
He said that the theatre should not be demolished because it’s a heritage in its own to attract tourists .
He said that the Nomo gallery does not currently generate much revenue for government because of heavy deployment at its entrance since its near state house and added that people are scared away by security and the price of products sold there are too expensive to local people.
