The opposition has endorsed the 2 billion shillings proposed budget to fight jiggers in Busoga and Karamoja areas .
The opposition in parliament said that the 2 billion shillings for fighting jiggers is a little money and more should be extended for the campaign.
The leader of opposition Philip Wafula Oguttu said that he will lobby his fellow opposition mps to support the jigger budget.
He said that the jigger campaign fight needs to be supported to educate people about it because some people with jiggers think that they were bewitched.

Recently, government through the minister of state for primary health care Sarah Opendi engaged Busoaga and Karamoja mps in a meeting to influence them to support the proposed jigger campaign.
Some mps from Busoga had accused fellow mps of hiding their head in sand fearing shame yet their people are damaged by jiggers.
