Kasese district Sacked prison officers cry to parliament to force the prison Authority to reinstate them.
Appearing before the defense and Internal Affairs committee chaired by the woman mp for Mubende district Benny Namugwanya the prison officers said that they were sacked under unknown circumstances since 2007.
Their group leader Hassan Esungwa Nsiyona told parliament that they were mistreated in this sacking.
He said that they were sacked without sacking letters saying that some were told to leave prison service on phone.
The group asked parliament to prevail over prison Authority headed by Dr.Johnson Byashaija to pay them their outstanding salary arrears and Emoluments which accrued for the past six years.
They demand the Prison Authority to reinstate them into their former positions and compensate them for embarrassment they have suffered.
