NRM party members and the party leaning members of parliament have pledged total support to the son in law to the president Odrek Rwabwogo to contest for the position of NRM party Vice Chairman for Western region.
Rwabwogo will be facing off with the incumbent, Major General Matayo Kyaligonza and after meeting MPs at parliament Rwabogo said that he wants to make NRM party more vibrant than before, saying that the party has been dormant after voting the office bearers.
Rwabwogo said that he will not step down for anybody who thinks the party is for only old people. He said that he wants to shift some responsibilities to districts and that he wants to encourage young people to start businesses.
The vice chairperson of NRM party Patrick Ogwang told journalists that NRM members of parliament will support Odrek Rwabwogo because he has a better program and package for the party. Ogwang said that they are looking for new blood like Rwabwogo to push the party forward. He said that the people standing with Rwabwogo have ever gone to engage the population on the principles of the party.
