The MP for Kalungu, Lule Mayiya has commended President Museveni for granting Kalungu, Kole, Maracha, Lwengo, Bukomansimbi, Gomba and other areas district status.

He says Ugandans are so grateful to President Museveni for creating many districts in different parts of the country. MP Mawiya says creating new districts is a long cherished peoples demand across the country.

Speaking to journalists at Parliament today, Mayiwa said the creation of new districts brings serves near to people and creates employment opportunities.

However, many Ugandans disagree with MP Mawiya’s views. The critics say the creation of new districts increases the taxpayers’ burden.
