Over 100 officers from Uganda police fleet management have undergone training on different skills on motor vehicle mechanics and maintenance.
The two day training organized by Vivo energy Uganda limited at Royal Suite’s Bugolobi trained officers on how to use Shell lubricants, safe fuel offloading procedures and defensive driving skills.
ACP Kirungi Suleiman the deputy Director Fleet management Uganda police says about 100 Mechanics, administrators, store men, drivers, and fleet management officers at different levels participated in the training.

Kirungi commended Vivo Energy Uganda for the training and said that the trainees gained a lot of skills which will help them at their places of work.
“The relationship of Uganda police fleet management and vivo energy Uganda is becoming stronger and our mechanics have become more skilled through such trainings” Kirungi noted.
Kirungi urged the police drivers to always adhere to road safety and be considerate to other road users.
Cerinah Tugume the Shell Uganda Corporate communications manager said the purpose of training was to equip Uganda police mechanics and drivers with driving skills necessary for safety on the road and product knowledge of shell lubricants.
” Police is one of our biggest customers , so such workshops give them chance to ask questions that we use to address challenges raised ” Ms. Tugume said.
