Minister of Education Janet Museveni will on Thursday January 17, 2019 release the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results.
According to the Ministry of Education spokesperson, Mr Patrick Muinda, the Uganda National Examinations Board (Uneb) will present results of pupils’ performance before Ms Museveni on Wednesday at the State House Nakasero,
“Uneb officials will brief the on the performance of last year’s Primary Leaving Examinations on Wednesday January 16, 2019 at 11am and later release them on Thursday January 17, 2019 at 11am at President’s Office,” Mr Muinda said.
Last year, UNEB registered a 3.9 per cent increase with 671,923 candidates registered to sit 2018 PLE from 13,072 centres across the country compared to 646,041 from 12, 751 in 2017.
According to the executive Secretary of Uganda National examinations board Dan Odongo Of the total candidature, 476,131 were from Universal Primary Education (UPE) schools and 195,792 private.
346,963 candidates were females while 324,960 were males.
