The Uganda police have searched the rooms of one of the storied buildings in Namasuba on Kampala –Entebbe road today after a reported bomb scare.
The area police and LCI executive says no bomb was found in the building. The occupants of the building ran away for safety after reports that a powerful bomb had been put in one of the rooms in their building.
The police discovered that the reported bomb was a stone which someone had wrapped in a polythene bag and kept it at one of the corners of the building.
The LCI chairperson of Namasuba Kalina Zone where the building is located, George William Walugembe says it seems someone put the stone in the building to scare his friends.
The police in Uganda are on alert and keeping guard after bomb blasts killed over 70 people and injured hundreds of others in Kampala on July 11.
The police have arrested dozens of suspected Al Shabaab terrorists since July 11th. The terrorists are opposed to Uganda army deployment in Somalia. Uganda is due to increase its army deployment in Somalia.
