A total of only 700 applicants have qualified for police cadet oral interviews out of over 3500 applicants from across Uganda boarders.

The recruitment exercise kicked off Monday August 9th, 2010 and saw massive turn up of applicants, all seeking to join the Uganda police force.

The Uganda Police force is seeking to recruit about 5000 cadets, some of whom are expected to be deployed to keep law and order in the forthcoming general elections in Uganda.

The Commissioner of Police in charge of Legal Affairs, Samuel Kyomukama says those that have qualified for oral interviews will now be selected to proceed to the next level if they pass the interviews.
