The Uganda Young Democrats (UYD) has said it plans to recruit new members from schools around the country.
The UYD Secretary General, Sam Muyizzi has said today on Johnson Street in Kampala that they have approached several head teachers seeking to open UYD branches in schools.
Muyizzi says their political organization has not found resistance from any headmaster. Muyizzi says a UYD student’s union conference is slated for December 5th 2010. UYD is a vibrant youth wing of the Democratic Party.
The Secretary General of UYD says their political unit is planning to open four regional UYD offices in Eastern, Western, Northern and Central Uganda to coordinate its activities in Uganda. He says the Mbale UYD office will coordinate eastern, Mbarara western, Gulu northern Uganda and Kampala central Uganda.
