The President of Uganda Peoples Congress (UPC), Ambassador Olara Otunnu has advised President Museveni to resign peacefully before he loses elections in 2011.
Otunnu says he is worried Museveni is going to lose the respect he has worked for over the years after losing 2011 elections.
The President of UPC alleges that Museveni’s government is corrupt, and discriminates people basing on their areas of origin. He was speaking to journalists at Uganda Peoples Congress head offices in Kampala today.
Otunnu is concerned about the ongoing political intimidation, banning of opposition rallies, denying the Kabaka of Buganda from visiting Kayunga and Bugerere and the closure of Buganda Kingdom Radio Station, CBS.
He says the members of UPC are bothered that a day can not end in which people are not murdered, public money mismanaged and peasants evicted on land.
