Makerere University has announced that it has finalized plans for the next graduands to walk away with their transcripts on the day of graduation.
The Public Relations Officer of the University, Rita Namisango says all people who will graduation will now be able to get their academic papers.
This will remove one of the major complaints against Makerere University where many people have been complaining over the delay by the university to give transcripts to those who have graduated.
Namisango says the University is planning to offer transcripts immediately at its next graduation ceremony in January 2011. She says 70% of the transcription for the about 13,000 students expected to graduate are ready.
Namisango told journalists at Makerere that the university has adopted several technological changes that have eased registration and payment of tuition fees, examinations and marking and will now be able to immediately avail transcriptions to students on graduation.
