Kampala university students have given the university one week to provide evidence pinning the two senior administrative officials who were dismissed today.

The university academic registrar Hussen Kyeyne Lukyamuzi was sacked following accusation of embezzlement while the deputy director of studies Nsozi Francis was accused of raping a female student.

The dismissal was effected by the university director Hussen Kato who asked the two to leave the university premises immediately.

The decision taken by the university director has not been welcomed by the students.

This has forced students to hold a public demonstration at their campus along Ggaba road in Kampala demanding for proof of the two officials’ wrongs.

The university student guild president Bob Muyanja says Nsozi and Lukyamuzi should immediately be restated if proof is not provided.

Efforts to get a comment from the university’s vice chancellor professor Badru Katerega were not successful as he was reported to be out of the country.
