The residents of Bugiri district were all smiles when the National Resistance Movement flag bearer for the 2011 elections President Museveni promised them a ferry before January next month.

While addressing a rally in Bugiri today, Museveni said that other presidential candidates have no potential to lead this country and their promises are not reliable.

Museveni who has been the president of Uganda for 26 years has said that he will not wait for elections to end for him to provide a ferry like other candidates have promised.

Last month, while on his presidential campaigns in Bugiri district, the Inter-Party Cooperation/ Forum for Democratic Change flag bearer Rt. Col. Dr. Kiiza Besigye promised ferries on Lake Victoria when he gets into power next year.

Museveni is currently campaigning in Busoga region as he seeks to be re-elected from Uganda’s top position.
