The people of Buganda will not give votes to MPs who supported the controversial Land Amendments Bill (now land act).
The Cultural Minister in Buganda kingdom, Nsubuga Nsambu says the MPs who supported and backed the passing into law the controversial Land Bill disrespected the Kabaka of Buganda so they will not get votes. Buganda kingdom and the Kabaka of Buganda in particular were opposed to some contents of the land bill.
Nsubuga says the people of Buganda are very disappointed that some MPs in Buganda supported the law that was ‘aimed at grabbing the kingdoms land.’
Nsubuga also claims that some MPs have been all along supporting the splitting of Buganda into numerous districts. He says partitioning parts of Buganda into small units (districts) creates disunity among Kabaka’s subjects.
