The Archbishop of the Seventh Day Adventist church in Uganda, Ps. Dr. John Kakembo has appealed to Ugandans to exhibit more love and responsibility during the elections.
In a national election message, Pastor Kakembo says all Ugandans need to appreciate each other’s right and responsibility to participate in elections that decide how the country is governed.
He says election time is a period of great responsibility when about from voting all Ugandans should ensure the elections are free and fair, and accept the results of the voting exercise.
Pastor Kakembo urges Ugandans to carefully scrutinise the manifestoes of the candidates before deciding who to vote in order to vote for people who will lead to better life in the country.
Ugandans will on February 18th go to the polls to elect the president and Members of parliament, before voting for Local Council leaders on February 23rd.
