Parliament has conducted an oath ceremony for the newly-elected Jinja East Member of Parliament Paul Mwiru. Mwiru, the Forum for Democratic Change candidate, defeated NRM’s Nathan Igime Nabeta in last week’s by-election in Jinja. Mwiru bagged 6,758 votes against Nabeta’s 6,057.
